NSS
National Service Scheme is the dream project launched in the year 1969 by the Ministry of youth affairs & Sports, Government of India. The concept of N.S.S. is based on the ideology of the Shri Mahatma Gandhiji honorable “Father of the Nation” The ultimate aim of N.S.S. is to focus on the improvement of the personality of the youths and to Co-ordinate their abilities towards the social engineering of the nation. The affiliating University has called the N.S.S. an education Service based Scheme and a noble experiment in academic expansion, which includes the spirit of voluntary work among the Students / Teachers through suntanned community interaction, to combine knowledge and action, which gives maximum exposure and experience to help the youth to find avenues of the self-employment. Eventually, it is an idea of helping the Government and Non-Government organizations to achieve their goal in National development. The National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) unit of the institute started functioning in the academic year 1994-1995 with an intake of 120 students. The N.S.S. activities are managed and monitored by the N.S.S. program officer. N.S.S. important days, street plays, AIDS, Awareness Campaigns, Wall Posters, etc. Another important feature of this scheme is the ‘Adoption of Village’ to promote awareness and campaigns to the grassroots level. This village is adopted for three consecutive years and seven days and 10 days are organized annually in the month of December and January. The hygienic and cleanliness programmed social awareness program, woman empowerment, health, and green/plant plantation practices are some best practices done by the students along with the involvement of villagers. The institution feels very proud to announce that the adopted villages have been declared as “Niramal Gram Nawari and Nawara” located near the college premises. Under the ‘Sant Gadgebaba Swach Bharat Abhiyaan’ by the govt. of Maharashtra besides this, the adopted villages have also won and have been appreciated by the community.
- College – P.O. Dr. S. J. Patil, Assist. P.O. Prof. U. Y. Gangurde and Smt. Prof. C. B. Patil has planted 500 hundred plants plantation at Wadgaon adopted village, P.O. Prof. U. Y. Gangurde & P.O. Dr. S. K. Kadam visited villages nearby for “Mooth Bhar Abhiyan” in Satarane, Nawara, Nawari, Ambode, Wani, Malane, Collected 400kg grains in the form of wheat, Rice, Bajari and distributed to deprived people 50kg per person.
- Stanches have been dug on the hills of Vijaynagar for growing percolation by Prof. U. Y. Gangurde.
- Small dams have been built in Wadgaon, Satarane, Nawara, Nawari, Ambode, Wani, Malane, Londhawe, Shiroor, Mohadi, and each and every adopted village ( Vanrai Babdhara)
- S.S. volunteers constructed Dams and water reservoirs.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Dr. V. H. Ubhale has worked as an advisor of the N.S.S. advisory board of the University for the period till today.
- U. Y. Gangurde former P.O. of N.S.S. visited the maximums college camp to invite lectures in different subjects every year.
- College N.S.S. Unit is always ready to send students for maître sahas, Avahan camps organized in different colleges or Universities.
- S.S. Volunteer also participates in the National Parade organized on Republic Day & Independence Celebration.
- Nawara & Nawari both villages received the Nirmal Gram prize, which was adopted villages of our college.
- Social enlightening programs and cultural programs are organized in adopted villages to tackle problems like Dowry, and desert. Defenestration of woman empowerment, eradication of blind belief literary campaign, cashless society campaign, etc.
- Adv. Nanasahib Vijay Naval Patil and the N.S.S. department organized a disaster management program with a practical Demo.
- S.S. unit of the college inspires Students to participate in powada Gayan, essay competition, and Lokgeet competition as well.
VOLUNTEERS PARTICIPATION AT OUT OF STATIONS

Sahas Shibir- 6 Students Participated at Jalgaon University.
State level Avhan- 3 girl students Participated in Kolhapur University.
University level- Maitre Shibir, 6 students Participated at Songir College.
University level- maître Shibir, 6 students participated at Mhasadi College, For consecutive two years.
University-level elocution completion- 2 Students participated, Shahada, and Lonkheda College.
University-level- elocution competition held at H.R. Patel Mahila College, Karishma Parkhe received the Ist prize at the individual level.
S.S. volunteers clean the village premise dug shoshakadda, at Satarane, Wadgaon, Londhave Village.
Clean the Gutters and Garbage at Jawakheda for three Years.
Repair the village roads and footpaths.
Landscaping of water resources.
Check the dam construction and repair as per the requirement to e mended the Dams.
Socio-economic status Surveys.
Awareness Lectures for the villages.
S.S. unit actively participates in the celebration of Independence Day and Republic Day and helps in various organizing programs.
Celebration of important days like Teacher’s Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Youth Day, Intentional Yoga Day, Women's Day, Kranti Day, and AIDS Day. Savidhan Diwas, Sushashan Diwas, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Swami Vivekanand, Lokmanya Tilak, ,M.K. Gandhi, Savitribai Phule. Human Rights Day such activities have been vigorously organized by the N.S.S. unit of the college.
OBSERVATION OF IMPORTANT DAYS
Observation of Birthday and death anniversaries of eminent national personalities.
Celebrate N.S.S. Day, Annabhausathe Jayanti, and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jauanti.
Organized lectures of invited guests occasionally to update their knowledge.
Enlightens ( Social/Environmental/Cultural ) rallies have been organized by the N.S.S. unit occasionally.
